Having a strong and robust brand image is absolutely essential in marketing. In fact, we would argue that its important not just for marketing, but also for survival – at the end of the day it is a competitive edge you have over the competition! A strong brand image will help your brand differentiate itself from the crowd.

As Tom Goodwin rightly states in his interview with Brandingmag.com – “Brands are essentially patterns of familiarity, meaning, fondness, and reassurance that exist in the minds of people.”

To put it in simple terms – having a strong brand image will help people recollect your brand over the others, and will be more likely to do business with you.

Think, for example, your favourite fast-food restaurant, there are many but there would always be one that comes to your mind above others. Or, if you are health conscious, think about your favourite brand of running shoes. Again, there are many, but there must be one that came to your mind first!
